FAQs

What is semi permanent makeup?

Semi permanent makeup falls under the umbrella of tattooing. Although unlike tattooing we use pigments instead of ink and we only insert the pigment into the dermal layer of the skin so unlike the traditional tattoo, semi permanent pigments will fade over time.

Is semi permanent makeup safe?

Safety is a top priority for me. I meet all my clients before any procedure to do a patch test and to discuss the treatment throughly, I answer all their questions and make sure it’s the best treatment for them. I follow strict hygiene protocols and I use only the top quality pigments.

Is it painful?

This question is asked a lot! After the treatment the majority of my clients say it wasn’t sore at all, I have a lot of client who fall asleep while I’ve been working on them! I pre numb the brows before I start working on them and once the skin is opened I use a secondary numb which makes the treatment completely painless.

What do I need to do before my appointment?

You will get better results if you follow the pre care instructions. It is important 2-4 weeks prior to your appointment, to avoid tanning, do not tint, tweeze or wax, do not have any type of facial or peels, do not use AHA ( alphahydroxy acid or BHA (Betahydroxy acid), Retinol, Vitamin A or get Botox., stop taking any fish oils. The day before your appointment avoid strenuous exercise, tea, coffee, any caffeinated drinks or alcohol. It is also important to inform me of any medication you may be taking.

What is the aftercare for Phibrows and Powderbrows ?

The aftercare is 70% of your treatments success. I will go through it with you throughly before your appointment and also after your treatment. On day 1 I will advise you to clean your brows every hour with cooled boiled water, apply an small amount of cream (which I will give you) to your brows and brush them through with a spoolie. On day 2-3 you will need to repeat the process every 3hrs and day 4-5 every morning and night. It is important to avoid getting water, face creams and makeup in the brow area for the first 7 days and also to avoid exercise, sauna, swimming pools and any activity where you might sweat or get dust in your brows. In the long term it is recommended to use SPF daily on your brows.
